Get the look: Kim Kardashian's green maternity bodycon dress

Bodycon dresses are a great way to show off your bump and your new curves.

And they've become a huge trend amongst pregnant celebrities.

Rochelle Humes has in the past sported this look, while this week Kim Kardashian stepped out in a green over the knee bodycon dress to show off her bump.

She teamed this up with a pair of trademark green suede heels.

We've spotted a very similar maternity bodycon dress from Asos, which comes in at a very purse friendly £20 showing you don't have to splash the cash to dress your bump in star style.

If you're looking for that perfect maternity bodycon dress then check out our top picks here.

Friday fantasy fashion item: Silk printed tunic from Seraphine Maternity

It's finally Friday again, which for us means two things.

Firstly that lie in is in sight and secondly it's time for our Friday fantasy maternity fashion item.

Today on our sneaky surfing mission we came across this gorgeous silk printed tunic from Seraphine Maternity, which is great for mums-to-be looking for a smarter look.

Teaming this top up with a pair of black skinny maternity jeans and heels makes it perfect for a party, day at the races or wedding reception, while pairing with white or blue denim will give you a bohemian feel that works for that causal day in the office or lunch with friends.

We think this lovely piece is well worth the £99 price tag.

Maternity fashion trend Spring/Summer 2013: White

Sass and Bide Spring/Summer 2013
Keep your maternity style simple in one of this season's hottest trends.

White is a staple part of the Spring/Summer 2013 colour palate with the likes of Victoria Beckham, Alexander Wang and Jill Stuart just some of the many designers who made this a key shade in their collections.

Appearing on crisp clean separates made from cotton, lace and other floaty fabrics emulating the romance of the summer, this hue showed that sometimes simple really is best.

We've picked our fave staple white maternity separates, which look great teamed up with a splash of colour or together for top to toe white.

Get the look: Evan Rachel Wood's black maternity dress

Evan Rachel Wood looked every bit the glowing expectant mum when she stepped out at the TriBeCa Film Festival opening party.

The starlet made her bump the focus in a gorgeous black empire line, halterneck midi dress, which skimmed her new found curves, while her pointy Louboutins helped elongate and show off her pins.

There's a huge range of black maternity dresses on the market, but we heart this number from New Look, which we think channels Evan's look perfectly and at £19.99 comes without the designer price tag.

Louboutins are of course, optional.

Top five short summer maternity skirts

In keeping with our simple summer maternity series, we've decided today that it's time to set our sights on the skirt.

Skirts are a great way to show off your bump and there is a huge range to choose from including smarter pencil styles that are great for the office, maxi styles that look amazing with your bump, and of course shorter numbers that are perfect for flashing your pins.

And today we're all about the latter, with a number of lovely styles to choose from. A denim skirt is great for a classic take on this look, while cargo and linen skirts are perfect for a relaxing day with friends or family. If you're feeling brave then opt for a printed skirt, which channels one of this season's hottest styles, ensuring your bump stays bang on-trend.

Team with a simple maternity vest top or maternity kooky tee for a casual look.

Maternity fashion analysis: Kate Middleton vs Kim Kardashian. Vote and let us know who you think dresses their bump better.

There seems to be a baby boom amongst celebrities at the moment with some of our faves sporting bumps in a range of maternity fashions.

Two of the most high profile are of course Kate Middleton and Kim Kardashian who have both been taking up fashion inches for  very different reasons.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who has been spotted showing off her baby bump in a range of classic styles, has been praised for her demure maternity fashion, while Kim Kardashian who has opted for leather skirts and peplum trousers, has been shot down for her mistakes.

On the face of it, many would be quick to say Kate wins the maternity fashion war, but, we aren't inclined to agree.

Like her style before she became pregnant, Kate has stuck to simplicity and
classic pieces, while also giving a nod to her recycling roots. And most of the time she's been photographed in a coat. She was spotted in a blue embellished coat in Baker Street Underground in March, while her Goat Regrave Coat covered her Topshop contrast collar dress at the Coat, Child Bereavement UK HQ, in the same month. For St Patrick's Day she opted for another coat- this time by Emilia Wickstead, and a Pink Joseph coat completed her look at the Cheltenham races.

Of course it would be unfair for us to judge soley on this, after all we know it hasn't been the warmest weather, and Kate has been spotted browsing the rails of Seraphine Maternity, where she apparently admired a lightweight jersey dress with a stretchy empire line cut and butterfly sleeves as well as buying a non-maternity floral dress from a Topshop concession. But, like the Max Mara wrap dress she showed her bump off in earlier this year, these styles are all very Kate.

And it seems her growing bump hasn't encouraged her to be a little bit more playful with her style.

Kim Kardashian on the other hand has had plenty of fun with her maternity fashion.

She may not have always got it right,  a few examples of her faux pas being the leather skirt she recently squeezed into and the peplum trousers she opted for earlier this year, not to mention the monochrome dress that looked more tent than tunic, however, at least she's had fun with her bump and embraced her curves.

And when she's got it right, we're afraid to say she blown Kate's maternity style out of the water. This weekend she showed off her curves in a gorgeous Valentino red lace dress, as well as skinny jeans and a lace top. She may be in warmer climes but, take note Kate, there's not been a coat in site.
